Our Scaffold technology enables SilkLife to be fabricated into a variety of absorbable, porous structures for a wide range of applications. Currently, we focus on localized applications in which the scaffold can be used to fill tissue gaps and provide temporary structural support at the applicat ion site. Designed to be gradually absorbed by the body over time, Scaffold technology provides temporary structural support without the intent to remain permanently at the application site.

Dental procedures such as tooth extraction, can leave a localized space that requires temporary structural support. The Scaffold Technology fills the tissue gap, absorbs blood and exudate, and provides temporary structural support at the extraction site. It maintains structural integrity during use and gradually degrades as tissue regeneration progresses. Moreover, this platform may have additional applications in localized injuries and tissue defects at other sites of the body.
